Annual Camp and Fish Friends, Fly Rods and Ozark Waters

In this episode, I hit the water with a good buddy of mine for what was supposed to be three epic days of camping and fishing. A few years back, William and I started an annual trip — just us, the fly rods, and the great outdoors.

It’s become a tradition we both look forward to, and this year our wives joined in to make it even more special.

We spent countless hours on the water and around camp, soaking in the beauty of the Ozarks and unplugging from everyday life. But on the third day, around 3:30 AM, things took an unexpected turn. I woke my wife and told her I was having a medical emergency.

We ended up in the ER, where I found out I had a 3mm kidney stone — not exactly the kind of adventure I planned.

That’s when true friendship showed up in a big way. With me completely out of commission, William and his wife Alana stepped up without hesitation. They broke down the entire camp loaded up my trailer and hauled everything to my home. I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for friends like them. Now you might hear William and I spit some rude or crude comments at each other, trust me its all in good fun. Hope you enjoy the episode. Thanks for watching.
