Our Family

We have a large family which includes eight children.

My wife and I grew up in Southwest Kansas and spent most our lives there. We first met at age 11 when her brother and I started hanging out, and to be totally honest I was in love.

Let’s jump forward many years we both married other people and life got started - we both had children and we both experienced divorce. Life hands everyone challenges and we definitely experienced our own.

We came back together and finally realized that we were meant for each other and of course combined our children (including my wife adopting my three young children) and the rest is history.

In 2018 we uprooted our family from Southwest Kansas and planted ourselves in Northwest Arkansas. The move has opened many opportunities for our family and we couldn’t be happier.

One reason we moved to Northwest Arkansas was to experience more outdoor activities. The natural beauty of the area calls for one to explore and disconnect from every day life and that’s what we’re looking for. October 2020 I decided to video record and document our fly fishing adventures and so the CASTAFLY YouTube channel was created.

In just six short months (at the time of this writing) I feel we have accomplished so much and really are making good content for you the subscriber, but we are always working to make it better and better.
