The Mission

One lucky winner will team up with me for an unforgettable day of fly fishing in the Ozarks, chasing the ultimate prize—Smallmouth Bass.
With cameras rolling, we’ll capture every moment, from epic hooksets to scenic river views. Along the way, we’ll share a couple of meals, trade stories, and soak in the beauty of the outdoors.
But why am I doing this? Well, it’s more than just fishing. I truly enjoy connecting with people, especially those who support what I do. This is my way of giving back and saying thank you for being part of the journey!
The Drawing
Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 6:00 pm, we'll employ a random name generator to pick the winner of our drawing. As a precaution, we will also select a second name as a backup. The winner will be promptly notified following the drawing. Subsequently, I will arrange a convenient time for a phone call (possible meet) with you to coordinate our trip and establish a date in either May or June 2025.

Expect a day of wet wading 2–4 miles through a scenic creek in southwest Missouri. Depending on conditions, we may explore multiple spots throughout the day.
Prior to our trip, you must consent and sign an event waiver. This includes the use photographs, videos, or other media captured during our outing.
Entry and participation in the drawing require a minimum age of 21 years.
You are accountable for covering your own travel expenses to and from the outing and any lodging costs that might be necessary.
If our trip needs to be canceled due to inclement weather conditions, such as heavy rain, thunderstorms, high winds, or any other hazardous conditions. A decision regarding cancellation due to the weather will be made 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of our trip. This decision will be communicated via phone call.
CASTAFLY Outdoor Adventures will furnish meals and beverages for the day of our outing.
A valid Missouri fishing license is mandatory.
If you're the lucky winner you're more than welcome to bring your own gear, but if not I have an extra fly rod setup you can use for our trip. We can discuss during our phone call.
- Quick-dry synthetic pants and shorts
- Long sleeve sun shirts for protection from the sun
- Hat to help protect your noggin from the sun
- Socks — we suggest wool or synthetic that properly fit your footwear
- Hoodie/jacket for those cool mornings
- Comfortable hiking boots, shoes or wade boots with ankle support
- Extra set of clothes (Your Gonna Get Wet)
- 6wt to 8wt fly rod is suggested but not required.
